GMTC: Our Mission

Welcome to GMTC, an alternative provision dedicated to empowering young people who have faced challenges in mainstream education. Our name—Growth Mindset, Transform, and Champion—is at the heart of everything we do. We believe every young person has the potential to overcome obstacles and achieve great things. With over 14 years of experience in the independent special school sector, we've had the privilege of working with some of the most challenged young people across five counties. We work closely with schools, local authorities, and families to create comprehensive, supportive packages tailored to each individual's needs.

Our Services

In addition to our core provision for young people, we also offer specialized training to educators. These sessions focus on key areas like growth mindset, ASD, and anxiety awareness, equipping school staff with the knowledge and tools to better support their students. We are committed to fostering a more inclusive and understanding educational environment for everyone.

Our Commitment to Safety

Your child's safety and well-being are our top priorities. All our staff are DBS-checked and have completed essential training in Prevent, FGM, and regular safeguarding training with a local practitioner. Our primary approach is rooted in trauma-informed practice, which we believe will make physical intervention unnecessary. Our goal is to create a safe, trusting, and supportive environment where every young person feels secure.
